Melbourne West Special Olympics became the first club out of the gates for the new year with their annual family day at Brimbank Park.
Athletes, their families, volunteers and supporters braved the sweltering heat to catch-up with friends and relive the glory of 2023.
And you can’t get between LETR and a sausage sizzle and Mick, Mary and Dean made the most of the first Special Olympics Victoria barbecue of the year as they reunited with long-time Melbourne West friends.
The inaugural Ruth Kyne Service Award recognising outstanding contribution to the club was presented to much-deserved committee members Gavin, Michael and Margaret in recognition of their unwavering commitment over many years .
If the Melbourne West family day is anything to go by, 2024 is going to be a huge!!!
