LETR’s Matt and Andrew could not believe their luck when told they would be spending the day with the superstar athletes of Special Olympics Victoria for the All Abilities Day at the 2024 Australian Open Melbourne Park, Rod Laver Arena.
Special Olympics Australia CEO Pierre Comis, joined Matt, Andrew and the athletes of Special Olympics Victoria for the All Abilities Day which included Wheelchair Tennis, Blind and Low Vision Tennis, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Tennis, and tennis for Players with an Intellectual Impairment .
The SOA team were even lucky enough to be joined by pro Aussie tennis champion, Ellen Perez.
Ellen was so impressed with our athletes and she generously shared details of her professional journey and her rise through the official ranks.
It was great to be part of the Special Olympics family doing what we love – celebrating the achievements and awesomeness of the disability community.
