Athlete Leadership Program Scholarships & Awards
Every year LETR VIC Sponsors three Athlete Leadership Awards with the support of our supporting sponsors.
All athlete leaders registered in the Athlete Leadership Program are eligible to apply for an Award.
What’s Included:
- A Ticket to the Gala Ball
- A $150 Westfield Voucher
- One Nights Accommodation in the City for the night of the Gala Ball
- A framed certificate presented to the winners at the Gala Ball
In addition to this – one of the award winners will be selected to represent the Special Olympics Athletes in the USA at the Annual LETR Conference:
The International Scholarship is valued at $10,000 – This year the lucky winner will be heading to Minneapolis, Minnesota!
A list of inclusions and eligibility criteria are noted within the attached International Scholarship Application Process. This award is restricted to the Athlete Leader Community.
- Athletes need to complete an application form and attach supportive documentation.
- A panel interview is organised for those that progress to enhance and encourage interview, communication and presentation skills and a holistic approach is made in assessing applications.
- The review panel is made up of Special Olympics and LETR volunteers and consists of one independent person ideally with lived experience of disability.
